Gravesend is located in northwest Kent, England, on the south bank of the Thames. It is the administrative town of the Borough of Gravesham.

Gravesend is close to the new Eurostar and main line station at Ebbsfleet running from Ashford to St Pancras Station from 2007, with the domestic service opening in 2009.
