VISA Cards
VISA INTERNATIONAL is a membership association owned by over 21,000 banks and
other financial services companies worldwide. With Members using VISA-branded
products on every continent, the global organisation consists of six regions:
Asia Pacific (AP); Canada; Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA);
European Union (EU); Latin America-Caribbean (LAC); and United States.
VISA Cards are issued by our member financial institutions, not by the Visa
association. VISA Members also sign up (acquire) retailers, recruit cardholders,
set fees and determine spending limits and interest rates on outstanding
balances.
